"Carousel" Oleksandr Murashko

The painting "Carousel" (1906) won a gold medal at the Munich International Exhibition and brought Murashko worldwide recognition. Since then, his paintings have been exhibited at leading European exhibitions and published in many magazines. In 1909–1910, solo exhibitions by Oleksandr Murashko were held in Düsseldorf, Cologne, and Berlin. The painting "Carousel" was acquired for the Royal Gallery of Budapest directly from the Munich exhibition. However, the painting disappeared during World War II. The sketch for the painting "Carousel" is preserved in the National Art Museum of Ukraine.
